Own Artwork

My own artwork is often inspired by workshops that I deliver and the people I meet; I enjoy exploring materials and processes, developing them to see how far they can be taken.

Art work encompasses reoccurring themes, I have a particularly interest in fairy tales and the familiarity they resonate in all of us.  Inspiration comes from the things that bind us; the human compulsion of collecting; notions of uselessness.

The work shown bellow takes inspiration from the notion of material and meaning, specifically relating to usefulness, and playing with this using hand made felt and paper.

The work shown bellow is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's tales, including The Butterfly, Little Red Ridding Hood and Red Shoes.
